Charcoal Fried Hokkien Mee 炭炒福建面

We passed by this shop several times. The wording of "charcoal fried noodles" had successfully caught our attention so much so we planned to stop by for a try out last Saturday.

The interior of the shop was new and neat. Facing the entrance there was a yellow banner proclaimed this to be the branch of Sentul Famous Charcoal Fried Hokkien Mee. Well, have never tried the Sentul fried Hokkien Mee, so dunno how good it is.

Since we decided to have a light brunch, we ordered fried Hokkien Mee, fried “pah guo” (炒白果) and fish head mihun soup 1 serving each to share out.

We were getting doubtful about "charcoal fried" as we could hear the gas stove groaning away from the kitchen. All in all, we thought that the Hokkien Mee was adequately stewed and the fish head soup cooked with the Chinese pickle was tasty as well. Wouldn't mind to try out other dishes for another visit. The outlet is situated along PJU5/16, Dataran Sunway, Kota Damansara.
